Incase you haven’t of a VPN before, a virtual private network allows you to surf the web more anonymously as your traffic will go via a server which is not in your current location. For example, your server could be in France, so your traffic will go there first.

There’s actually quite a few companies who provide VPNs, but if you want to get creative and make your own all you need is a Raspberry Pi and a little coding know how. Keep in mind: As you are developing your Raspberry Pi VPN at home, this will be your location. However, you can still use it to connect to your phone and computer. It will make them more secure when on the internet.

This project can be quite complex and time consuming, but here is a step by step guide to help you making this project a reality!
